The School of Computing and Business Studies recognizes the problems likely to be encountered by such students and have policies and procedures in place to ensure that the students’ assessments are fair and consistent and meet with the awarding body standards. The College’s teaching and general staff have been made aware of problems students with learning disabilities may have, and have been advised to act accordingly. (Further details are outlined in SCBS Policies and Procedures, a copy of which can be obtained on request).

The SCBS has policies on equal opportunities and this means that the College will ensure that students have an equal opportunity to access learning. This means the College won’t treat anybody differently because of their Race; Gender; Disability; Sexuality; Age; Religion or Belief.

Additional support is given to students with learning difficulties in English and Mathematics. Refer to the prospectus for more information.
